Mr Bug has announced the launch of a new homegrown dog food made from 20% Devon mealworm protein.

The new product builds on the company’s existing range of mealworm “superfood” seasoning and dog treats.

The new food prioritises good gut health as well as helping dogs which have rashes or dry nose or skin.

Mr Bug is the only insect food provider to make its products with homegrown mealworms instead of imported grubs.

Founder Conal Cunningham said: “The planet is crying out for humankind to broaden
its food horizons and embrace nutritious insects to initiate a seismic protein transition.”
