Aldi has announced that it has restocked its Doggy Ice Cream, after it was sold out following its launch last year.

According to Aldi, when the treat launched last June, the treat sold out in record time with nearly 30 tubs sold every minute.

The Doggy Ice Cream comes in two flavours, namely Peas and Vanilla and Carrot and Apple.

The Doggy Ice Cream is 100% plant-based and includes real fruit and vegetables and aims to provide a “nutritious” snack whilst also keeping pets cool during the warm weather.

Julie Ashfield, managing director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: “Last year we became the first UK supermarket to launch a dog-friendly ice cream, and it was a huge hit with pet owners. We’re delighted to bring back a product that is both nutritious and cooling for dogs, just as the sunshine returns.”
