Champion Petfoods has announced two new products in its range of Orijen cat foods in the UK market with Guardian 8 and Kitten.

The aim of the food is to support the health and development of a cat from its infancy as a kitten and over the span of its life. The first five ingredients of both products are fresh or raw.

The kitten food is specifically formulated for kittens and” provides the nutrients essential for healthy growth. It is made up of 90% quality animal ingredients including chicken, salmon and turkey. It is also designed as a smaller kibble specifically to help with digestion.

Guardian 8 is specifically designed for adult cats. The first five ingredients are fresh or raw quality animal ingredients, such as fresh chicken, raw salmon, raw turkey, raw whole herring and mackerel, meaning less supplementation is needed.

Both foods are available in two sizes with prices for Guardian 8 starting at £7.99 for 340g and kitten starting at £6.99 for 340g.

Colin Rodger from Bern Petfoods, orijen’s distributor in the UK, said: “We’re thrilled to see Guardian 8 and Kitten on the shelves of our stockists all over the UK, bolstering the range of Orijen cat food products.

“Having specialised, quality cat foods for both kittens and adult cats allows us, as well as adoring pet lovers, to protect and encourage each life stage of a cat. We look forward to continuing to bring the best quality foods made by Champion Petfoods enabling them to grow healthy and strong.”
