The Four Paws Groom School provides qualifications for professionals, as well as pet first aid courses, and a one-day Groom Your Own Dog course for pet owners

Four Paws Groom School has announced a new site is set to be launched afterShropshire Council’s planning committee approved plans for a new site.

The latest grooming academy will be housed on the site of the former HSBC Bank in Cheshire Street, Market Drayton. 

Four Paws Groom School, which offers qualifications by the national iPET Network, applied for change of use permissions back in November 2020. 

The ground floor of the building will be used for the training school, and business offices will be located on the first and second floors.

The Four Paws Groom School provides qualifications for professionals, as well as pet first aid courses, and a one-day Groom Your Own Dog course for pet owners who want to know how to care for their pets in between trips to the groomer. 

Sarah Mackay and Fern Gresty, who run Four Paws Groom Schools in Cheshire and Kent, said: “We are delighted that Shropshire Council has approved our plans. Now it is all systems go to open our latest venture, which will represent an expansion into the Midlands for our business. 

“We are so passionate about offering training for dog groomers and pet professionals, we have been working in the industry for many years, and this is our way of helping the trades we love level-up, and giving something back.” 

They added: “We believe that the more people who know these skills the better, and it will ensure that we have a nation of healthy and happy pets.” 

The latest Four Paws Groom School is due to open later this year.
