Royal Canin partners with IDEXX to host FLUTD and Dysuria webinar

Royal Canin and IDEXX Laboratories have announced they will partner to provide a step by step guide on how to manage the symptoms of FLUTD in a webinar.

The webinar named, ‘FLUTD and Dysuria – a frustration for many and not just the cat’ will be hosted by Dr Hanne Friis Lund (DvM) on Tuesday 30 April at 8:00pm. Focusing on urine analysis and laboratory tests, Friis Lund will advise and guide attendees on diagnostics while Katy Smith from Royal Canin will look at the nutritional management of the condition.

Friis Lund said: “Feline lower urinary tract disease is a very common condition in both male and female cats affecting 1-3% of cats every year.

“It goes without saying that FLUTD causes great discomfort and pain for the feline, which is why the webinar will explore how best to manage the condition from a nutritional point of view. Friis Lund graduated as a doctor of veterinary medicine from the University of Copenhagen in 2005. Following her graduation, she worked in both first opinion and referral private practices in Norway and Denmark before joining IDEXX as medical affairs manager for Northern Europe, United Kingdom and Italy in 2014.
