Royal Canin expands team with new head office appointments

Royal Canin, has announced it has expanded its team with four significant new appointments at its head office in Castle Cary.

The appointments include a veterinary marketing executive, two vet national account managers and an e-commerce veterinary key account manager. The latter being a newly created position, reflecting the growth of the brand’s e-commerce business.

Charlotte Young, joins as veterinary e-commerce Key Account Manager, following previous e-commerce experience as field sales manager at the Wrigley Company.

Gemma Sainsbury and James Mills both have been appointed as national account managers, responsible for building relationships with corporate customers. Sainsbury joins Royal Canin following six years at a superfood and health food importer and distributor, managing national and international accounts. Mills joins from car giant Ford, where he worked as group manager, he has also worked for the likes of Nike, Kellogg’s and Oakley.

Gemma Schofield, will join as veterinary marketing executive and will be working alongside the veterinary marketing team. Schofield will manage and implement campaigns to deliver Royal Canin’s global strategic sales and marketing objectives, she previously worked as senior marketing advisor at the National Farmers’ Union.

John O’Connor, veterinary marketing manager at Royal Canin, said: “All four new appointments are testament to the business’ growth. Charlotte joins at an exciting time, as almost half of all veterinary products sold online therefore expanding our e-commerce team is essential.

“We are delighted to welcome all four of our newest colleagues as we enter another exciting year for Royal Canin. They will join our dedicated team, all passionate to continue leading the way in veterinary nutrition and putting science at the heart of everything we do.”
