Burnham Pet Shop donates essential items to NHS staff amid Covid-19 crisis

The staff at Burnham Pet Shop in Somerset has donated essential items to NHS staff at Weston Hospital amid the Covid-19 virus.

According to Burnham-on-sea.com, the pet shop staff has donated a wide range of toiletries items which include, shampoo and body wash and chocolates.

The manager of the team, Barbara James, told Burnham-on-sea.com: “Many thanks to June Fisher, Tracey Bagg and all of the staff at the Pet Shop in Burnham for their kind donation of toiletries and wash bags for the staff in main theatres, the day case unit and ITU at Weston General Hospital.”

The news comes, as Solihull-based Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service has donated lifesaving medical equipment to South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) to help them fight the Covid-19 virus.

The veterinary practice donated the Trust, which serves hospitals in Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon and Shipston-on-Stour, with adult and paediatric breathing systems and filters alongside loaning them syringe drivers to help administer drugs.
