2017 marks Butcher’s 30th anniversary. The company is exhibiting at the annual Crufts dogs show to showcase its original grain free recipe, Butcher’s Tripe Mix, alongside its new grain free range, The Butcher’s Choice.
Since 1987, Butcher’s has used its heritage in farming and as butchers to specialise in making natural dog foods, which are rich in meaty proteins, and made using British ingredients.
For 30 years, Butcher’s has produced foods that are not only grain-free, but which are also free from artificial colours, flavours and preservatives. Its first to market recipe, the Original Tripe Mix, is still a No.1 selling single can today.
Butcher’s core values remain constant and are epitomised by the ‘Fit as a Butcher’s Dog’ strapline. The company constantly develops recipes with the help of continual feedback from its customers.
New launch at Crufts
At Crufts 2017, Butcher’s launched a brand new grain free range: The Butcher’s Choice 400g Plastic Tray. Consumers can see their dog’s food in a more modern and familiar packaging format.
Made at the company’s home in the heart of Northamptonshire, the range offers a single serve pack which contains 60 percent single animal proteins – chicken or lamb with potatoes, and two choices of vegetable such as broccoli and carrots.
These are gently steam cooked to preserve the natural qualities of the ingredients. They are also grain free and free from colours, flavours and preservatives.
The company said: “At Butcher’s we firmly believe in educating dog owners about the ingredients in their dog’s food, and how this can affect their dog’s health and behaviour. From our very first Tripe Mix recipe, through to today, we have advocated that meat is best when it comes to our dog’s diet.
“Passionate about making pet foods and spreading our ‘meat is best’ message to consumers, we will be giving away a goody bags throughout the show containing our original Tripe Mix product, and new Plastic Tray range. Visit us in hall 4, stand 36, to hear all about our brand’s 30-year history, and to pick-up some samples!”
